Day 1 of the Kargil Vijay Diwas Week was observed on 20-07-2026 (Monday) with the theme “Know the History.” The programme commenced with a special address during the morning assembly, where students were informed about the significance of Kargil Vijay Diwas and the sacrifices made by the brave soldiers of the Indian Armed Forces. A documentary on “Kargil War – Operation Vijay” was screened for all students, helping them understand the history, courage, and determination displayed during the war. To further enhance their knowledge, a Quiz on the Kargil War and the Indian Armed Forces was conducted for Grade 8 students. The activities inspired patriotism, respect for the armed forces, and a deeper appreciation of the nation’s heroes.

Day 2 of the Kargil Vijay Diwas Week was observed on 21-07-2026 (Tuesday) with the theme “Tribute to Heroes.” An Essay Writing Competition was conducted for Grade 7 on the topic “The Spirit of Kargil – Courage Beyond Duty,” where students expressed their admiration for the bravery, dedication, and sacrifices of the Indian Armed Forces. The winners were First Place – Cdt. Badwachetan, Second Place – Cdt. Saanvi, and Third Place – Cdt. Sumit. A Letter Writing Activity was also organized for Grade 6 on the topic “A Letter to an Indian Soldier.” Through their heartfelt letters, students conveyed their gratitude, respect, and appreciation for the soldiers who selflessly protect the nation. The winners were First Place – Cdt. Sai Kiran, Second Place – Cdt. Niranjan, and Third Place – Cdt. Hemant Kumar. These activities helped develop students’ writing skills while fostering patriotism, empathy, and respect for the country’s heroes.
Day 3 – 22-07-2026 (Wednesday)
Description:
Day 3 of the Kargil Vijay Diwas Week was observed on 22-07-2026 (Wednesday) with the theme “Patriotism Through Art.” A Poster Making Competition was conducted for Grade 6, where students creatively depicted the bravery, sacrifice, and patriotism of the Indian Armed Forces through colourful and meaningful posters. The winners were First Place – Spoorti, Second Place – Aradhya, and Third Place – Aadhya. A Slogan Writing Competition was organized for Grade 7, encouraging students to express their patriotic feelings through inspiring slogans. The winners were First Place – Pramod, Second Place – Vachanshree, and Third Place – Sumit M. K. Grade 8 students prepared a Wall Magazine on Kargil Heroes, showcasing inspiring information, quotes, and illustrations about the brave soldiers of the Kargil War. Surya Kirti House secured the First Place, while Anand Vihar House was declared the Runner-up. The day’s activities inspired creativity, teamwork, patriotism, and deep respect for the sacrifices made by the nation’s heroes.
Day 4 of the Kargil Vijay Diwas Week was observed on 23-07-2026 (Thursday) with the theme “Leadership & Motivation.” A motivational talk was delivered by Ex-Serviceman Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Patne, who shared his experiences, valuable life lessons, and the importance of discipline, courage, leadership, and dedication in serving the nation. The session inspired students to develop qualities such as responsibility, perseverance, and patriotism. Following the talk, an interactive discussion on the leadership qualities of the Indian Armed Forces was held, during which students enthusiastically interacted with Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Patne, asked thoughtful questions, and gained a deeper understanding of the values and sacrifices of India’s brave soldiers. The session motivated students to become responsible and disciplined citizens.
Kargil Vijay Diwas was observed with great pride and patriotism on 26/07/2026 at Sainik School Bidar, in the presence of over 500 participants, including dignitaries, parents, staff, and cadets. The programme began with a floral tribute at the Amar Jawan Memorial in honour of the brave Kargil martyrs.
The event was graced by Group Captain VNL Reddy, Commanding Officer, 3 Kar Air Squadron (Technical), NCC, Bidar, as the Chief Guest, along with JW Officer Sandeep Kumar (NCC), Dr. Rajinish S. Wali, Governing Council Member, HKE Society, Dr. Srilatha G. Swamy, Principal, Sainik School Bidar, and other distinguished guests.
The programme included patriotic performances, inspiring addresses by the Chief Guest, Dr. Rajinish S. Wali, and the Principal, followed by the prize distribution for the week-long Kargil Vijay Diwas competitions. The ceremony concluded with the Cadets’ Pledge, the National Anthem, and a renewed commitment to serve the nation with honour, discipline, and dedication. The event was successfully conducted as a heartfelt tribute to the heroes of the Kargil War.
Day 5 – 24-07-2026 (Friday)
Description:
Day 5 of the Kargil Vijay Diwas Week was observed on 24-07-2026 (Friday) with the theme “Fitness & Team Spirit.” Instead of the planned Endurance Run, a Cross Country Run was organized for all houses. The route covered approximately 4.5 km, starting from Chitta Cross and ending at the school campus. The event tested the students’ physical endurance, determination, and sportsmanship while promoting teamwork and a healthy competitive spirit.
In the Boys’ Category, Vishruth (Yellow House) secured First Place, Shankar (Surya Kirti House) secured Second Place, and Alok (Vidyasagar House) and Anish (Anand Vihar House) shared Third Place.
In the Girls’ Category, Cdt. Bhoomika (Yellow House) and Cdt. Parinita (Surya Kirti House) jointly secured First Place, Cdt. Arushi (Anand Vihar House) secured Second Place, and Cdt. Annapurneshwari (Vidyasagar House) secured Third Place.
An Intra-House Tug of War Competition was also conducted to strengthen teamwork, unity, and coordination among students. Anand Vihar House secured First Place, while Vidyasagar House secured Second Place.
The day’s activities successfully promoted physical fitness, discipline, perseverance, sportsmanship, and the spirit of teamwork, reflecting the core values of the Indian Armed Forces.
Day 6 – 25-07-2026 (Saturday)
Theme: Cultural Tribute
Description:
Day 6 of the Kargil Vijay Diwas Week was observed on 25-07-2026 (Saturday) with the theme “Cultural Tribute.” A Patriotic Group Song Competition was conducted house-wise, where students showcased their love for the nation through inspiring patriotic songs. Anand Vihar House secured First Place, while Surya Kirti House was declared the Runner-up. A Patriotic Speech Competition was organized for Grade 6, providing students with an opportunity to express their respect and gratitude towards the brave soldiers of the nation. The winners were First Place – Aradhya, Second Place – Shevleela, and Third Place – Sai Kiran. A Poetry Recitation Competition on National Heroes was conducted for Grade 7, where students confidently recited patriotic poems honouring India’s great leaders and brave soldiers. The winners were First Place – Vachanshree, Second Place – Basavachetan, and Third Place – Nayan. The day’s activities promoted patriotism, cultural appreciation, confidence, and respect for the sacrifices of the nation’s heroes.
On 29/07/2026, Shivasharana Hadapada Appanna Jayanti was observed with great respect and devotion at National English Medium Public School, Bidar, in accordance with the directions issued by the Block Education Office (BEO), Bidar. The programme commenced with the floral tribute to the portrait of Shivasharana Hadapada Appanna.
On the occasion of the 12th International Day of Yoga 2026, the school organized a special Yoga and Meditation Session for the Sainik Cadets with great enthusiasm and discipline.. The cadets actively participated in the session, demonstrating dedication, unity, and the spirit of a healthy lifestyle. Guided by trained instructors, they performed various yoga asanas, pranayama, and meditation practices in line with this year’s theme, “Yoga for Healthy Ageing.”
The cadets and students of National English Medium Public School & Sainik School, Bidar actively participated in a Plantation Drive to promote environmental conservation and sustainable living.
By planting saplings, the students pledged to protect nature and contribute towards building a greener and healthier future. The activity instilled the values of responsibility, teamwork, and service to society while reinforcing the spirit of environmental stewardship.

The School Management Committee (SMC) Meeting was held on 11 June 2026 at 4:30 PM to review the school’s academic performance, infrastructure development, and overall progress. The meeting was graced by:

The committee discussed matters related to academic excellence, student welfare, and infrastructure enhancement, and approved developmental initiatives aimed at providing a better learning environment for students. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks to all the members for their valuable guidance and support.
The school warmly welcomed the Sainik Cadets on 16th June 2026, marking the commencement of the Academic Year 2026–27. A Saraswati Pooja was conducted during the morning assembly to seek blessings for a successful year ahead. Welcome bands were tied to the cadets, followed by sweet distribution, creating a joyful atmosphere
Dr. Srilatha G. Swamy, Principal, addressed the cadets and encouraged them to remain disciplined, focused, and committed to excellence in all their endeavours. The ceremony concluded on a cheerful note, setting a positive and enthusiastic tone for the new academic session.
National English Medium Public School (Sainik School), Bidar, celebrated the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj with patriotic fervour.
The programme began with a pooja and floral tribute by the Principal, Dr. Srilatha G. Swamy, who encouraged students to imbibe the values of courage, discipline, and leadership. A special lecture by Assistant Teacher (Hindi), Mr. Prashant, highlighted Shivaji Maharaj’s vision of Swarajya and military brilliance
The event concluded with students reaffirming their commitment to the ideals of bravery and national service.
